Description: In celebration of Le mois de la francophonie, we are co-presenting a series of animated films en français. According to Brian Hearn, the film curator at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, “these films are suitable for all ages, are visually stunning.” We are thrilled to be partnering with the museum for this event. Nous aurons une salle réservée au restaurant.  Chacun paie son repas.
N’oubilez pas vos colliers, masques ou déguisements !

2010 Fellows Announced

Congratulations to the 2010 Eleanor Kirkpatrick Franco-American Fellows!

Hayden Nunley, Westmoore High School. Hayden will conduct his research on “La Grande Guerre en Picardie : Ses effets sur le peuple et la perception des Américains.”

Pearl Dang, Classen School of Advanced Studies. An avid reader, Pearl has chosen to research “Jules Verne and Amiens: The Ideal City of Yesterday and Tomorrow,” inspired by Verne’s “Une Ville idéale.”

Annie Stephenson, Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics. Annie will observe the teaching practices of math in France and compare them with those in the United States.

Tiffany Nguyen, Classen School of Advanced Studies. Tiffany has chosen to research “The Role of the Catholic Church: Modern France vs. Modern America.”
We are looking forward to the students’ products and hope you will join us in the spring when they share their findings with us.
