The Alliance Française of OKC is pleased to announce the 2016 Eleanor Kirkpatrick Franco-American Fellows!
- Deante Colbert, a student of Linda Bowling, Yukon High School, and whose research project is “Comprehending Foreign Linguistics”
- Sammy Najib, a student of Emily Bare, Edmond North High School, and whose research project is “A Comparison of Gender Roles in French and American Societies”
- Eleanor Rainbolt-Forbes, a student of Corinne Crepin, Heritage Hall, and whose research project is “The Differences Between the Environmental Awareness and Practices of American and French High School Students”
- Charlotte Woods, a student of Whitney Stafford-Najibi, Westmoore High School, and whose research project is “The Teen’s Role in the Family”
The Fellows will be accompanied by Jean Dawson, French Teacher at Yukon High School. They will be conducting their research in Crépy-en-Valois, in the Picardie region of France, at the Lycée Jean Monnet-Crépy-en-Valois. These outstanding students will travel to the Picardie for two weeks, March 5-19, 2016, conducting research on their individual projects. This program is a life changing experience for these students and the only program of its kind in the United States.
