L’AFdOKC organizes a variety of events throughout the year.
- We kick off the beginning of our membership year by celebrating La Fête Nationale Française in July.
- In December,we celebrate the holiday season with a Children’s Chorale and our annual Fête de Noël.
- January begins with a celebration of La fête des rois,complete with traditional galettes and a King or Queen of the party.
- In February,we wish our Eleanor Kirkpatrick Franco-American Fellows bon voyage as they prepare for their 2-week research fellowship in the Académie d’Amiens.
- In May,the Fellows share with us their research findings at a special presentation.
We also host a French classes for children and adults,a quarterly book club,monthly Café conversation meetings and help promote French films in the Metro area.
