French Language Educator Scholarship

Applications are being accepted now until December 1st

Established in 2022, this scholarship provides funds for a college student enrolled in an accredited teacher education program in French at one of the Oklahoma Universities below, who is studying to become a French educator in Oklahoma. This $1,500 scholarship would be available to pay for French and Education classes as well as to study abroad in a French speaking country..

College student must be enrolled in an accredited teacher education program in French at:
Oklahoma State University
University of Central Oklahoma 
University of Oklahoma

This scholarship has been created to address the growing shortage of French teachers throughout the state of Oklahoma,.  We are grateful to Mrs. Barbara Thompson, who founded this program to encourage, recognize and provide financial support for Oklahoma’s future French teachers.
