• Oklahoma City’s Patricia Mideke Bloom enjoyed a celebrated professional ballet career with the NYC Ballet and The National Ballet, before teaching ballet for 30 years. Later, she returned to university, earning a degree in French. She went on to teach French, a love second only to ballet.

• Pat recently published her memoir, Dansez! A Dancer with Ballet in Her DNA, where she reflects on her journey through the world of ballet, from her early aspirations to her professional career with the New York City Ballet and the National Ballet of Washington, D.C. Through rich personal anecdotes, Patricia shares her experiences working with renowned choreographers, including George Balanchine, whose influence shaped her artistry and career.
