  • Crénom Baudelaire de Jean Teule, a biography of the poet Charles Baudelaire. It has been said, “If the work dazzles, the man was detestable.” Charles Baudelaire respected nothing, bore no obligation to anyone, poured out on all those who approached him the worst insanities. Drugged to the marrow, hallucinated dandy, he never had any other ambition than to grasp this beauty that ravaged his head and to transmit it through poetry. In his verses, which he worked tirelessly, he wanted to bring together in the same music the ignoble and the sublime. He wrote a hundred poems that he threw in the face of humanity. One hundred flowers of evil that changed the destiny of French poetry.
